so another day with nothing to do but explore. so off i went up 'the knife'. the top of the ridge above our wee town, proper tight corcscrew climb for a wee miles then a drive along the top. found a sign posted place for walkers so corrie and i hopped oout for a dander. at first it was beautiful, views down the valley to both sides, the pyrenees on one and the sprawl of pau on the other. then this edifice of a building all torn curtains blowing through smashed windows. so being the little boy i am i went in for an explore, pretty scary to be honest. it seems to have been some sort of hospital for mentally and physically disabled kids and was just abandoned. uniforms and shoes still strewn about, even patient records. it was really eerie but obviously i went through the whole building. this contraption was outside as were various kids toys to give the whole place a real movie set feel, maybe it was and they were just off for the day although i fear not
