Still More Blossoming
Since you can't get too much of a good thing, I'm offering up another view of the spectacular blossoming cherry trees in the Meadows.
Our view of the world and its activities as we sit on the patio is seen through a canopy of baby fresh green leaves with a backdrop of paths lined with a froth of pink blossom.
With the warmth there is a sprinkling of sun worshippers and picnickers with barbecues dotting the grass, newly mown this morning.
A very bucolic scene right in the centre of Edinburgh..
His Lordship and I have been doing a spot of patio planting, involving a sledge hammer and concrete breaker -upper. Maybe you're wondering what on earth is going on. Better not to ask but suffice it to say that hopefully we will have some greenery climbing up the walls of the flat soon.
Now it's time to clean my bike in readiness for our sojourn next weekend. Not a job that fills me with delight, I have to say, but cleanliness is next to Godliness, and after all it is almost Easter.
