Under pressure

Adam and Bob Hewson had emerged into a dimply lit corridor, but they were too disoriented to know exactly where it was.

"We need to get out of here," the older man groaned, the stress showing on his face.

"Shhh," whispered Adam. "Thanks for pointing out the bloody obvious. Listen, we don't know where that posh psycho is - he might be right behind us. So let's not give him any clues about where we are, eh?"

"Sorry," came the whispered reply. "I don't think I can take much more. I can hardly breathe."

Adam looked at him. He hoped his washed-out face was because of the lighting, but he couldn't help thinking there was more to it.

"It'll be fine," he said with a confidence he didn't feel. "Come on."
