The fish (and memories)
Not fish memories obviously as I understand they have very short ones, but mine. When I was about 10 (so nearly 40 years ago!!!! No that can't be right...) my mum took me to a glass blowing factory in Hokitika on the West Coast of the South Island of NZ. We saw this fish made and mum bought it for me. From memory we had to go back the next day when it had cooled (is that right mum?)
Anyway here it is with me still. You will see the end of its nose (bill?) on the shelf - it was a victim of the September quake, then I glued it back on then it fell off in the February quake! So I am leaving it for a wee while before fixing it again.
And look - the factory is still there! Love the paua shell - what's your favourite fellow Blippers?
