Sundown Adventureland
Today we went to Sundown Adventureland in Nottinghamshire. It was a trip that was aborted due to the snow back in December. It is a theme park for under 10's and was actually quite good. We met Kate, a friend I used to work with in Leeds and together we explored the Lollipop Castle where each room smelt of different types of sweets, the Wildwest area, where we rode the runaway train, the pirate cove where we got wet on the barrel ride (three times). There was a Robin Hood ride, a tractor ride and a Santa's sleigh ride. On top of this there is a massive softplay area, two large sandpits and any number of play areas, some inside and some out.
This was taken the Storybook Village outside the Gingerbread Cottage. There were a number of little cottages from various fairytales, Hansel and Gretel, Jack and the beanstalk, Snow White etc. All with some where to sit and listen to the stories. All in all it was a great day.
