Inspiration
The wife (A Tall Order).... Killed it today. Ran the Boston marathon in a Personal Best 3:28:09. That's an average mile of 7:56. Seriously.
Not sure if she was or I was more nervous today.
I can't imagine what it takes to run a marathon - the training, the sacrifice - for months. It's not just one day of work but a better part of year getting ready.
Its an amazing experience just to witness the final 100 yards of a marathon - you see every emotion possible. That moment of mind over matter - making your body finish what it started with the finish line in sight. You see fellow runners sacrifice their times to help walk in someone who's body has quit on them. We saw servicemen in full gear and packs stumble to the finish line. You see people's eyes light up-fixated on that simple banner reading "Finish Line".
Tears, screaming, laughing, utter exhaustion.
Good job wife! You nailed it!
