Stone trough

This little stone trough was planted by John as a surprise for me a few years ago. He had watched how to do it on the Beechgrove Garden on TV and decided to have a go. At that time John was not a gardener and this was completely out of character for him to plant this up with rock plants.

I had a very sore leg at the time and was unable to get about easily. John had gone shopping and had been away ages. On his return I was asking him where he had been and why had it taken him so long etc etc. I had to eat my words when he presented me with this!! It has flowered beautifully every Spring since.

Been down along the canal this afternoon and also a walk earlier along the River Carron with Ali and Euan.
