The new Vegetable Patch

After talking about it for a few years now, today we finally ripped up our old neglected overgrown rose bed and converted it into a small vegetable patch.

The carrots, lettuce, spring onions and parsnip seeds were all sown. A chicken wire fence had to go up to stop the dogs cocking their legs on our precious vegetables.

More veggies are planned, sweetcorn, peppers etc, although they need propagating apparently, this is more complicated than anticipated.
