Excitement!

The tension was mounting after breakfast today, as almost everyone on board knew that we were meeting the famous "Orchid". As we drew alongside the embankment at Volendam most of the passengers were on deck, looking out for her and there were cries of " There she is!!" The cameras were pointed in her direction as we disembarked and we met........at last! After 4 years of blipping and feeling as if we knew each other we met. What a lovely lady.
Thank you, Orchid, for the coffee and apple pie, the herrings and the great few hours we spent together. Hoping that we can show you Liverpool and North Wales in the near future. You only have to book your airline ticket. We'll take care of the rest.
After our good-byes, we took the ferry over to Marken - an island of traditional old Dutch houses, where we spent a lovely couple of hours.
This day was the highlight of our holiday.
