Like it is
There was something about the look on our visitor's face after the ten minute taxi ride that ended up with us walking along the Nile that I found oddly appealing. It was the look that something's not quite right. It was the look that people have when they realise they've been had. Cairo is not, as it has led the world to believe, a beautiful enchanting city full of life, movement and glorious sights and sounds, but is in fact a massive, hot, noisy, dusty, charmless, stinking dump.
I hate this place with a passion that transcends time.
The only good thing that happened today was watching Little Miss Sunshine. I literally cried with laughter at Olivia's dance at the end.
