Monarch Butterfly

My garden has seen lots of monarch butterflies (Danaus plexippus) this summer, but trying to photograph one resting with its wings open has been quite a mission. Luckily, this afternoon I managed to get a picture of this weary looking monarch resting on a fern tree.
