Goldfinch

Today's the day ........................... to watch the world go by

A girl who lives across the green from our house got married today. A big white vintage motor with ribbons at the front parked up - and eventually she came out with her Dad and the two of them were driven off in style to wherever the wedding was.

Then I noticed this goldfinch land on the top of a holly tree at the bottom of our garden. I rushed off to get my camera and quickly took a picture because I thought it would soon fly off somewhere else. In actual fact, it was there for a good five minutes - obviously not in a rush to go anywhere - just watching the world go by.
