Country Park

An early rise for us this morning (not sure why!) but I was awoken with the delightful sounds of "De-Li, De-Li" being repeated from H's cot (or De-why, De-why as H pronounces it). She is ever so cute at the moment.

First stop was lunch at Slumdog Kitchen with friends J and M. J is pregnant and M is getting married soon, so there was plenty of baby and wedding talk. I don't think the waiter believed that H would eat some of my curry and brought her a plate of chips on the house, when I didn't want to order her some! But she tucked into my veg pakora, peshwari nan and chicken desi. We felt obliged to try and eat some of the chips even though we really didn't want them as they were trying to be nice!

Afterwards, we headed to Silverburn for some shopping and to meet H's Daddy after work, so we could all head down to Ayr for H's Uncle R's 30th birthday dinner. I felt bad about dragging H round shops though, so as the sun came out, we made a detour to Pollok Park, and walked around for an hour in the sunshine - we saw horses, highland cattle, ducks, and H chased a few dogs too.

Dinner was nice, and H kept everyone entertained, but we didn't get home until really late, around 10.30pm. I couldn't believe H stayed awake for the entire journey home! It was a lovely, but long day!
