I remember studying this poem at school, the vivid images made an impression at the time. She talks of being in a clinically white hospital and the tulips are brash and intrusive in a place where there should be calm. I like my tulips far more than she did hers - they were a gift and it's been a while since I've had flowers!

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments on yesterdays picture - it was my favourite out the lot as he kept looking over at me as he was eating.
