Water, water everywhere ...

I don't think that I have blipped this trough before, which is surprising because both dogs (Molly even more than Jess) love it.

Today, they went for a long walk on the beach. Molly did a lot of swimming, drank a lot of salt water and will probably be very sick this afternoon. When they came back, she licked her bowl dry, then went to the toilet for another drink. We chased her out of there, and she then started to empty the trough, the gulping going on for several minutes.

I had hosed the trough just a couple of days ago, and filled it with clean water. But you can see how clarty it gets just by standing there. It's a lovely sunny day - so out came the power washer. This cleans the trough surprisingly efficiently - the hose just cannot budge the green stuff at all.

If you wonder why do we stand the trough on a stool, the answer (as usual) is down to Molly. When the trough is on ground level, she will put her whole front half into it, just to have a drink. Jess, by comparison, is genteel - she drinks in small sips.
