Which way to town?

From our house, there are two ways of getting to town:
1. leave the house and turn left, walk along the road until you reach the main road, and then walk down the hill to town
or
2. leave the house and turn right, turn right at the end of the road, walk along a little way then turn right onto a public footpath that leads down to a path by the river with trees and a meadow, and walk along there into town.
Route 2 is prettier.

Yesterday's fledgling wood pigeon was safely collected by Mum and Dad.
