Easy to forget

As I live in the west of Christchurch and rarely venture east at the moment it is sometimes easy to let the devastation evident in the far side of our city slip from my mind. Today I had cause to head that way and was confronted with disaster. I feel for the people who have don't have the luxury of being able to so casually forget.
