Late Evening woodcutters

Took a walk behind where I live in Mzuzu this evening to find a hive of activity in an area where trees had been felled to accommodate a new Community Hall.
Much of the commercial timber used locally is cut with this type of saw with one man above and below the log. The log is marked with a chalk line and the planks are cut straight and true. Amazing what simple and old technologies can achieve.
Night comes so quickly here that after this shot I found myself in almost complete darkness
