Filigree
A bit of a spurt of activity when I got home from work today - I cut the grass AND washed the car! Then I've done virtually nothing since except slouch in front of the laptop or the television. I did learn a thing or two from the Nihongo Japanese lesson on the NHK channel - different ways of saying goodbye depending on the context. And I also learnt that I can send back my cable that I bought to connect my laptop to the tv for a refund free of charge. It was only £2.50 but hey, if it's freepost to send it back, I think I might as well. Just need to make sure I get the right one next time. And hope that the company dont' mind that I've had to get the invoice out of the kitchen bin and wash it a bit before sending it back - yuk!
Not much else achieved - I hate evenings like this, I feel like I've really wasted my time. There is such a lot I could usefully do - people to phone, emails to write, gardens to plan, but I am lacking the get up and go. Still, I suppose it is Friday night so perhaps I should just go back to the telly and make the most of it. At least I did get some jobs done tonight.
And I wish the girls next door would turn the bass down on their telly - anyone who knows me well will know that that is going to drive me to distraction. They are watching an action film I think, and I keep getting the full force of the action through the wall. It's like being in the cinema without the benefit of actually being able to see the film!
Sorry, rant over. I think I may be turning into Victor Meldrew...
