Looker's Hut
Dymchurch is on Romney Marsh
Whilst growing up I felt it lacked something of the rock and roll lifestyle that teenagers crave. It is famous for sheep, churches, Dr Syn and smuggling. The locomotive in the blip of a few days ago was called Dr Syn, from the novels by Thorndike. Now I have moved away, the Marsh holds more of an allure.
This being my last day at my parents I was determined to try and capture the quintesensial typical, rural Romney image.
Not far from my mum's, in the middle of fields stands this Lookers Hut During the 19th century, this would have been used by shepherds to shelter from the elements whilst they tended their flocks.
Another version can be seen in my blipfolio
