We had a fun day. We met other blippers, about 40 or so, outside Scotland on Sunday's office to give chief sub editor, Andrew Hoyle a bunch of flowers. And not a custard pie in sight!!

On the card was written - with love www.blipfoto.com/ponces. He was given the 'blippers do it once a day' t-shirt too. He was such a good sport. He wore a suit (not many journos do) to greet his blipping public.

The word got out via facebook and twitter that blippers were coming en masse, so the paper were expecting us and sent down reporters and photographers to capture the mayhem.

Mr Hoyle promised to sign up and join in. And after the furore, he sent a lovely email about blippers - he thought that the ponce pictures were creative and funny! He must have been secretly chuffed to generate such a good humoured response.

Anyways, in all of the mayhem I didn't get a decent shot - between handing out badges, saying hello and speaking with journalists - I suppose, I was working!

It was my first time meeting a crowd of blippers - what a fun, crazy, lovely bunch!
