The Flies

I hit this in the area of Bonaly Reservoir as I headed up from Colinton today. Unusually, the air was thick with swarms of big black nasty-looking hovering insects. It was not a time for running with my mouth open! Fortunately they faded out part way up Capelaw Hill and I didn't come across them again, so they seemed to be quite localised.

I was alerted to the particularly thick swarm in the blip by the loud noise they were making behind me.
