Tower of London

Had a day in London with my cousin H... this was one of our last days in London before H moves North in the summer (hopefully we won't be long after her).

I love my days with H, we talk, we walk and generally have a really lovely day out.

Today we started at the Tower of London, had lunch by the river and then went across to Covent Garden so I could trail round the outdoor shops looking for a pair of long shorts with a pocket on the leg. I'm being very specific and choosy! I tore my favourite pair in quite spectacular style while participating in a team building exercise at work on Friday as part of TT day. Ooops I had to head home in a pair of kids PE shorts... very embarrassing!

After an unsuccessful attempt at shopping... we did the obligatory Haagen Dasz in Leicester Square! Oh that place rocks!!

After a spot of people watching in Trafalgar Square we went our separate ways and headed home. My train journey took twice the time is usually does because of an obstruction on the line... doesn't sound good and I was glad to get back to the car and home to R. A clear reminder of why I prefer my car!

It was a lovely, lovely day especially as H has not been well. Looking forward to our next one and most likely our last... but we'll go out in style... a west end show!

Then after that its days out in Yorkshire! Oh I can't wait!!
