This is one I made Earlier

This is an appliquée quilt which I made for daughter #5 a staggering 21 years ago. It depicts moments in her life which I though worth remembering.
She has kept it in wraps most of that time, but I discovered it in my bedroom here in Shipley, looking good for its age.
How I ever had time for these hobbies I'll never know seeing as now I can hardly do anything but eat, blip, and sleep.

Well today my stint as a helpmate is almost over when son-in-law returns from his conference.
I am taking the slow train back up the line to Garsdale Head where I'm hoping to meet his Lordship who will have driven down from Edinburgh this afternoon.
I have contingency plans should he have taken the wrong exit from the M6 and be somewhere else entirely.

We are staying at Hawes for two nights in order to explore North Yorkshire (or is it Wensleydale?).
I will miss the hurly burly of life with the grandchildren and the chatter of the 2+ year old. Now that I have the hang of his Yorkshire accent we get on like a house on fire.

I am finding the WiFi connection somewhat poor here which is strange since the other computers in the house work well, but I am expecting no connection for the next 2 or 3 days so if the worst comes to the worst it will be a weekend of back blipping.
