Desolation

(1) My computer has had to go to hospital, and I am desolated. Maybe, says Doctor Smith, it is time to think of getting a new one. Meanwhile, I am blipping by using Mrs jml's computer and I don't know where anything is or how it works: I feel lost. (It took me ages to find the colon I wanted for that last sentence.)

(2) The empty space on my desk leaves just the rubbish I have accumulated over the years. It does not look like a productive space.

Jess, wise beyond her years, surveys the desolation2, and advises me to spend some time tidying up!
