Crab Apple Blossom
Today has been ten degrees colder and some rain at last. I say that because the grass and the crops need the moisture, although we want it to go away fast and for the warmth to return. Can't have it both ways! The Footpaths man came this morning, we have to alter a footpath and it is going to cost about £2,000 although it is not our fault it's running through cattle pens and a hedge and ditch without a stile! It hasn't been used for over 50 years! People walk round the yard instead and that is where we have to move it officially.
Took ACG over to meet some cousins near Wellington for lunch at a pub. Had a good time but didn't sight see as it was dark and wet. His cold has improved.
Nearly didn't blip because it was miserable outside but saw this crab apple branch swaying in the wind - that is why it is out of focus! It is a John Downie and the small oval apples are good for making crab apple jelly. The building behind is the old dairy from when we had milking-cows. We had to sell them because we weren't being paid enough to produce the milk.
