Broomball
Went away to New England for the weekend. It was an amazing trip. On Saturday afternoon, a bunch of people went to go play broomball* on the pond. I was a bit hesitant to play because I know how much it hurts to fall on the ice. So I decided to go as a photographer.
But after awhile, taking pictures of the game started to feel a bit too much like work. So I stopped looking through the viewfinder, held the camera at my waist, pointed it in the general direction of the action, and fired away! It was fun! I certainly got some interesting results... This one was one of my favorites.
Shortly after taking this picture, I handed my camera off to a friend and joined in on the fun. Ironically, the pond wasn't nearly as slippery as I expected. The parking lot was much worse.
*Broomball is basically like hockey, except the sticks are completely straight, the puck is replaced with a soccerball/football, and everyone is wearing normal shoes. It can also be played in the street with a larger ball and real brooms.
