Paintbrush Cemetery

Dungeness is apparently a desert.

I don't know why, there is no sand there what so ever. Just lots and lots of shingle. Famously Derek Jarman lived here in Prospect CottageBecause there is no soil to plant, he filled his garden with sculptures he made out of odds and ends he found washed up on the shore.

Dungeness remains a haven for arty souls. Todays blip is of a paintbrush cemetery sculpture which can be found outside one of the little studios that can be found on the spit. In the background can be seen the old lighthouse.
