Between Rain & Night

I pedaled around the neighborhood today, snapping possible blips --mostly buildings --on this rainy day. None of the pictures caught my fancy as much as this, of a bird on a utility wire along my street. After a brief pause of the rain, some birds graze the muddy gardens for earthworms, but others, like this one, perch on a high place and sing to the fading light.
