Resident Ravens.....

We have this beautiful pair of ravens that have been around the house, and mostly the bird feeder, for the best part of the winter....they are so stunning to watch, especially when the land on the tiny platform on the bird feeder - and it's totally entertaining when Zoe and Sherlock try to catch them.....not a chance!!!

This evening, as i was looking out the kitchen window, they were wandering around the garden, they don't do that very often, so i grabbed my camera and still in my slippers, headed out and they let me get quite close to them! Mentioning the slippers is only relevant because now that most of the snow has gone, due to a very loud and dramatic thunder storm last night....the ground is very soggy, and slippery! But i managed to keep my footing as i ran, as quietly and quickly as i could, while they moved on down the driveway....Terry found the whole thing quite entertaining!!!
