Happened again

Well, for the second time in two weeks work being carried out to remove the £5 million pound one year old toll booths on the Forth Road bridge has caused traffic chaos. I could have done with another day in bed today but I was doing an all day commercial course for someone who had booked it a while back and I didn't want to put him out by having to rearrange it. The course went well, the journey home not so.

The air conditioning on the bus had backed in meaning it was sweltering hot then due to the trafffic chaos what should have been a 30 - 40 minute journey straight to Queensferry ended up taking over an hour just to get to Dalmeny. It was going to take at least another 20 - 30 minutes to get to my stop so I had to jump off there again and call Roz. Of course going from the sweltering bus to a chilly evening with my cold didn't really help.

Also there was no Tom Waits to cheer me up about it all this evening, although with all the coughing I've been doing since the weekend I could probably do a passable rendition of his voice.

Anyway, for the second day in a row Roz cheered me up when I was feeling dreadful, this time by arriving in the car and driving me home.
