Bluddy Tree
This is the tree in question. Its that time of year when the girls have to take in some painted eggs for display in school.
We have a tree made out of twigs lovingly hand picked from the park.
A real Chaffinches nest to go in it
Delicate flowers carefully glued on
A hundred tiny chicks pecking around the base of the tree
A mumy chick who - when you lift her up reveals Jeanne's hand painted egg in an egg cup.
The girls have written labels out so the judges will know all about their display.
In theory, its a beautiful concept - the tree representing the fragility of life, the essence of easter and new life embodied by the chicks and the love given by the mother hen.
In practice - IT'S A BLUMMING PAIN IN THE BUM. I can't get the tree to stay up! Every time I leave the room it falls over. It is now firmly planted in quick drying clay.
Moaned to bf about it. He wanted to help me solve the problem of the "Bluddy tree" But I'm giving up for now and will return to it in the morning.
On the bright side - the girls have had a nice time building their creation.
