Journey's End

Yesterday me and mum went to see a production of Journey's End at Bath Theatre Royal, it was so well produced at some points it gave me goosebumps and at others i had tears streaming down my face.
Perhaps the most compelling point was the ending when all the remaining living characters went over the top in one final push then a black curtain came down and there was about 3 whole minutes of INCREDIBLY loud bangs and gun sounds and then the black curtain comes up to find them all standing in uniform (even the ones who had died earlier) in front of a massive screen of memorial names. It was so poignant that yes, we had been watching a play, but this was real. Our boys lived (and, unfortunately, died) this.

And they still are.
