Coffee time

It's funny how God often confirms things we've heard or have been thinking about. He knows we usually don't get it the first time! This morning over coffee my mum and I were talking and she said something which pretty much summed up a load of stuff I'd been thinking about yesterday.

While on the topic of thinking - think about this. If the universe is finite (which most scientists would tell you it is, after all if the big bang really happened, it must be finite) then it must have an end, a boundary. And so there must be something outside this boundary. We can't simply say it's "nothing" - for a thing to exist it must be a something - "nothing" cannot exist in its own right. So either the universe is finite, and we must accept there is something beyond our universe which is infinite (or is finite and again inside something else); or else the universe is infinite.
