Harris

Our girls have left us temporarily, off with grandparents until Friday. Which means we have the place to ourselves for a few days, child-free just like the old days. It feels strange, very strange.

But an afternoon of lying on the sofa DVD watching, followed by cinema trip and pub is something I could probably get used to, if pushed.

Two new albums released simultaneously today by the mercurial talent that is Liz Harris AKA Grouper. Very haunting and the production is the sort that at first seems very murky but on repeated listens just seems to unearth new treasures each time. Not really got a proper handle on either of them yet, but so far this kind of thing has sounded very appealing indeed.
