Black Gold

It May not look much to you but i love this stuff! This is the results of my first fully fledged attempt at composting. I built the simple structure out of old pallets last year - there are two composting areas next to each other. I have been filling them up with all the garden waste and kitchen scraps etc for the last year or so. Today was the first day that i have removed the top layer to see the results. I was pleasantly surprised! I filled 6 wheelbarrow loads which were transfered to trenches i Dug where i am going to plant my runner beans in a few weeks time. Theres stacks left too that I'm going to use under my giant onions I'm going to have a go at growing.
Hoping for a resulting bumper bean crop later this year!
