3 Minute Monument
It finally arrived. After the disappointment of ordering a B+W ND110 10 stop filter and finding out Park Cameras sold it with no stock I was lucky enough to get hold of an equivalent Heliopan ND3.0 on Ebay instead, £25 cheaper too. So, with the clouds scudding over off to Calton to give it a try. Not that it was the best of days. Blowing a gale and what happened to the cloud? When I got there very bright sunshine and blue sky, not really long exposure weather. This was the only decent shot from Calton, 181s exposure with the polariser and no grads, what is nice though is no colour cast although it does show badly with grads shooting into the light.
Also stopped at Newhaven again, where the sun was equally bright and the sea very rough. Got a couple of stunning shots that would have been certain blips if not for the spray hitting the front grad filter causing bokeh spots all over the shot, unsusable!
This is my first entry in pro grade filters and its not going to be the last, a set of Lee grads and ND's is next on the shopping list.
