Chasing Rainbows

Tyne Bridge Replica at Saltwell Park

During a rainy stroll through Saltwell Park today i was looking for potential blips and came across this lovely new display. On closer inspection of the accompanying plaque i found that it was an entry in the 2010 RHS Chelsea Flower Show to celebrate 30 years of the Great North Run. The exhibit won a silver award. This replica bridge is 9 times smaller than the real bridge and took 7 weeks to construct by Clifford Chapman Metalworks in Gateshead.

The picture i took today was great but with the weather being so poor i felt the need to give this shot some ooomph, so i added a pencil effect to enhance it's features. (really is best viewed in large format)
