Garden

These images are part of a series. I took similar hand held shots yeaterday evening so decided to try again today using my tripod. But the wind and the sun were working in tandem and definitely against me, so no amount of tripod stillness could compensate for the wind, and, when the wind momentorily dropped the sun went in.

I love Erythroniums, they emerge so quickly and die off so suddenly so you have to catch them open within a small window of time. I also liked the light in the acer shot - so which to choose? I couldn't, so here are both.

The call came to help cook our evening meal so it was a brief photography spell this evening. Probably more luck than judgement that there are a few sharp spots on these photos!

A work day preparing for our conference in Guildford today - I travel on Friday. Fortunately I managed to get everything sorted with help from Julie, so tomorrow I will either be entertaining grandchildren or planting the asparagus which has arrived today.

Another busy day beckons.
