The Road Less Travelled
The road past our house is usually very busy. Several of our neighbours have lost pets, killed by passing traffic. It is our worry that Jess or Molly will get out and stray onto the road. Both, of course, have been out a couple of times - no matter how careful you are, something always happens. Each time it has been extremely worrying for us, but so far, they have never come to any harm.
Just now, however, the road is closed at a point a couple of miles beyond the village. This end of our street has been effectively bypassed by the diversions. So I have a blip of Molly in the middle of the road. I'm glad to see that she is a little anxious - she obviously has good road-sense. There is still a little local traffic comes along. As you can see, I did not take the risk of having her off the lead.
The idea for blipping here came from Mrs jml. After the drop-in at the village hall (with her scones) last Thursday, she came home and said that she & her co-volunteer had danced back along the centre of the road, and that I should have had my camera there!
