Oyster Catcher In Flight

Heard the oyster catcher down on the shore tonight so managd the walk to the bottom of the garde where I sat on the garden seat and waited for them to fly over. Still not able to even think about my usual agile clambering over the rocks so had to be comtent with a patient wait on the seat. Sure enough they headed past and I had the chance to practise my panning techiques.

I know the bird is fairly small in the frame and there is no catchlight iin the eye, in fact the eye isn't even visuble, but I am still pleased with my first real attempt at an oyster catcher in flight.

Tomorrow I will have another go weather permitting and will try with the slightly longer lens. Widh I had one of those super duper long lenses but they are far too expensive.
