Fruits de Mer
I, being both the consummate slacker, who looks for any and every excuse available to avoid doing schoolwork, and the devoted epicurean, such that I am, could think of no better way to "waste" a Sunday afternoon than to cook.
So, I headed to the grocer and bought shrimp, scallops, fettuccine, tomato-basil pasta sauce and a nice Italian Pinot Grigio with which to wash it all down. The mélange came together beautifully. It is unfortunate that I had to enjoy it alone, but I do have lunch prepared for the next several days.
While crabmeat was not a part of my recipe, I enjoyed their colorful presentation, on ice, with long, red legs tempting passersby. Maybe next time!
