Al Ain

Day 4 in Abu Dhabi

Popped over to Al Ain today on the bus. I say popped over, but it was a 2 hour bus journey away. Although for only 10 Dirhams (about £2) it was a bit of a bargain really!

Al Ain is in the East of UAE not far from the border with Oman. It's known for it's oasis and it was odd at first to see so much green when we've been used to only seeing sand for the last few days!

This building it part of the National Museum and is know as the Eastern Fort. There are several forts dotted around the town. Yet again, as with the Grand Mosque I blipped the other day it's a building that manages to look incredibly old but is actually pretty modern. This was built around 1910.

Once we got back to Abu Dhabi we went to an Asian restaurant. Once again amazing food, we've been so lucky here when it comes to food.

Going to Dubai tomorrow and will be going up the largest building in the world. Can't wait!
