Romania Day 6- Quids in!!!!!

No snowboarding today as the weather was so bad, the Telecabina that takes us up couldn't go as it was to windy.

Cristina and I decided to go for a walk and do a bit of sightseeing. Made it to Peles Castle, the original home of Charles (Carol 1), the first King of Romania. It really was beautiful. This is my favourite, of many pictures taken today. It's the Music Room, used mainly by Charles wife, Elizabeth, who was an extremley talented lady. As well as playing many instruments, and speaking 6 european languages, she also wrote nearly 20 books on varying subjects, including poetry.

Back to the Villa for a hot shower, then we went out for a nice meal. Cristina had the Caprioara (Venison) and I had the Mistret (Wild Boar). Both really good but the Venison took it I think. Washed down with a nice bottle of Red, and a glass of Single Malt for dessert. Cristina had the Pancakes with Nuts and Chocolate. We decided to have a quick look in the Casino, and I ended up having a quick go at Roulette. Some of you may find this hard to believe but, apart from a couple of Poker tournaments, in the 13 years I've been working in the Casino Industry, this is the first time I've played in one. Must be beginners luck, because, after tips, I won 500 RON, thats a little over 100 quid ($200 or 150 euros).

A good day!!!!!
