The first day of summer!

And long may it last! It has been such a beautiful few days and I have had heaps of energy from the steroids (sadly just running out now) life has been almost 'normal' sort of, if you know what I mean! Today we put the dinghy in the pond and next door's boys came around with theirs, we had an impromptu barbecue and a good time was had by all!
At one point I closed my eyes and just listened to the wonderful sound of happy children messing about in boats - it was a bit like the olden days!
