Warkworth beach on a hot day

On the first hot day of the year (so it seems!) we went on a trip to the coast and headed for Warkworth in Northumberland. Pottered around on the beach, found a heart-shaped pebble, gathered sand between our toes.... then went to walk by the beautiful River Coquet and over the 600 year old bridge in the village.

Just what was needed.

This is just a photo looking back towards Warkworth from the corner of the coast as you turn towards Alnmouth. It was oddly misty with the sunshine and the sand getting whipped up by the wind...
