Renewal

Today I spent the day with four of my dear friends. We drove to Portland, Oregon. We started out with the sun, went to deep of winter over the Cascade range, came out into green, beautiful spring in the Willamette Valley. It is an amazing drive. The Santiam River was wild and swift--the snow was still 4 foot deep on top of the pass. The daffodils, tulips, heather, and green, green grass was sooooo refreshing! It was warm enough to leave our coats in the car! Hurrah!

We visited the Portland Oregon temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Our day was so renewing--serving, spending time with friends, getting the spiritual filling one finds at the temple.

Thank you to all who encouraged me yesterday! My daughter got home after an 11 hours drive, all in one piece, with her trusty, old car chugging right along! I am grateful!
