Watching and Waiting.......

A cracker of a day today, had a few holes of golf with 3 mates today. Probably the first time we have all played together in maybe 15 years, had a great old laugh and catch up thats for sure. Then after lunch we ventured off to Memorial Park to see the Mosgiel First Team playing against Roslyn.
It really took me back and was good fun, I turned round after photographing the main game to see a young fella who was from Northern FC sitting on the ground watching his team play against one of the lesser Mosgiel teams. My Dad, in his time played for Northern and won the Chatham Cup with them before settling in Mosgiel and playing for them. looking at him sitting there.....

......got me thinking......

How frustrating is it for a kid like this to be sitting on the sideline watching and waiting to get on the field on a perfect day for playing football? How much worse will it be for him when winter really strikes and a good old southerly is blowing through? Geez Im glad that photography is a one person hobby and I can go out or not depending on what I want to do and not let anyone down!!!
