Peeling

Look familiar?

It did to me, but it's actually only incidental. This is nowhere near 26 Church St., and is instead right around the corner from where I live.

The weather lived up to everything and more. I wore a light shirt, cardigan, and a sarong all day (though I must say, you'd think I was some crazy Texas girl the way all the Bostonians looked at me in my sarong-skirt!).

Today was great. I made grapefruit cupcakes (success), caught up on more work, went to the grocery store, went to my yoga class, and am going out to see a friend's band play shortly.

I have big plans for tomorrow, too, actually. I found out on Friday from a large ad in Harvard Square that the Chihuly exhibit I saw in SF in 2008 at the de Young is going to be at the MFA here in Boston starting tomorrow. If you aren't familiar with Dale Chihuly, you can see some of his many beautiful installations at his website here.

He is a glass blowing artist out of Seattle, and really a genius. The exhibit I saw in SF is the best art exhibit I've ever seen (and I love art). Unfortunately, when I went through then, I thought photography was not allowed so I have no photos. I found out afterward that it was permitted - something I know now, so I would be surprised if Chihuly is not the feature of tomorrow's blip.

Allright. I am off to the Druid for a drink or two before popping next door for the show. Enjoy your Saturdays!
