Sun and snow

A beautiful, even if a bit cold, morning with sun shining on the white snow! In the end it wasn't quite as bad the first prediction I received for my area. Temperature went to a minimum of around -7C and the snow accumulation was around 10cm.

With the help of my brother we started shoveling the snow from our yard so that the sun would have a chance to melt and clear our yard. Still took us about 3 hours! Then we threw plenty of salt to prevent, as much as possible, any ice.

As this doesn't happen quite that often in Greece and specifically in Athens we don't quite have the experience to deal with it. One of the major dangers now would be the ice that will form from the low temperatures, still around 0C (maximum) throughout the whole of the day.
